Dependent Care FSA

Change of Status

Participants in the Day Care FSA will be able to make a change to their annual election amount if they have a change of status, some examples of qualifying events are:

Birth

Divorce

Adoption

Death

Change in cost

Change in the need for day care (termination of employment, change in work schedule)

Dependent ceases to satisfy the eligibility requrement.

The change to the annual election amount must be consistant with the change in status, and that change must be acceptable under the Regulations issued by the Department of Treasury.
